That's out little thing......"Grandmason" and "Kimberson" we've nicknamed ourselves. Grandma (Dad's mom) came to live with us when I was in 5th grade and I thank God on a regular basis for allowing her to be such a huge part of my upbringing!!!! I look at so many of my talents and realize they derived from her influence. The way I cook, the clothes I wear, how I do laundry....even down to doing the dishes! That is where this comes in....
A messy, icky spaghetti pot!! It was mostly my job to wash the dirty dishes. Grandma would be following behind as she cleaned up the table and sent all the dirty things into the kitchen to be cleaned. My most DESPISED item to clean was always the spaghetti sauce pot. The smell, the feel of it, the way it turns the sponge orange, everything about it!! It wasn't that I was unWILLING to wash it, I just really couldn't stand doing it! Grandma knew this about me and she would, 9 times out of ten, offer to wash it for me. What a angel....my Grandmason.
So, in honor of her, I posted this from the lasagna I made up for some recent house guests. And, just to set the record straight, I was a big girl and took care of it myself this time. ;) One more reason to miss her. (Like I need any more!)
